Petite Palette, Beautiful Bouquet, Birthday Card

I just can't seem to get enough of the "Petite Palette" set.  I just love those flowers and the bird.  And I also love that I don't have to fussy cut either of them!!!  I found a card on Pinterest that I copied but not exactly.  I loved the lacy die cuts, that is what attracted me to the card.

I stamped the flowers and bird using black Memento ink.  The original card used something else. I'm not sure if it was white embossed or if it was stamped with a light Smoky Slate.  The images were then watercolored in.  I wasn't in the mood to do watercoloring, so I just stuck with the regular inking and coloring.

I used Daffodil Delight Blends for the flowers and Old Olive Blends for the leaves.  The bird I did color in with Pacific Point ink and a Blender Pen because I didn't have a Blends set.

I also changed the wording.  I stamped the words from the "Beautiful Bouquet" set and die cut a scalloped oval for the layer. I set the words in place with Dimensionals.  There's Dimensionals all over this card.  The 3-3/4" x 5" background piece was set in place on the folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  The lacy strips were set in place. I used the double sided sticky paper so it made my pieces like a sticker. I HATE gluing those lacy pieces.  I set the flower in place using Dimensionals and the bird was set on top of the flowers with Dimensionals.  See, I told you there were lots of Dimensionals used here!!!

This was a very fun card and surprisingly quick to make!!  I have a birthday coming up that I could use this for, but I think I want to hang onto it for a little while.  It's SO pretty!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
