Guy Greetings, Happy Birthday Thinlits, Father's Day Card

I was intrigued by this fun card I found on Pinterest. I LOVED they way they cut off the "Birthday" from the die cut piece and just used the "Happy".  It was one of those "Why didn't I think of that" moments!!!  I have lots of those!

This was a very quick and simple card to make too!

I started out with a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On the left side I added a 5-1/2" x 1" piece of the wood Decorative Series 6" x 6" paper.  It comes in a plastic wrapper and it got ruined opening it, so I just use a clip to keep all the papers together.  I miss the tablet form that Stampin' Up! use to sell these in. So I don't have the name of this because I tossed the wrapper.  I layered that with a 1-1/8" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic Black card stock.

I die cut the "Happy" only catching a little bit of the "Birthday".  I trimmed off the pieces I didn't need and rounded the edges enough so it didn't look like I chopped off the pieces! I also used the sticky sheet to make the "Happy" a sticker. I really don't like gluing these pieces in place.

I stamped the "Father's Day" from the "Guy Greetings" set. I masked off the "Happy" and used black Memento ink to ink the image up.  And that was it.  Very quick and simple!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
