Party Pandas, 2018 Sale-a-Bration, Children's Birthday Card

It's getting down to the wire here.  I find it difficult to decide which Sale-a-Brations sets to play with before they retire tomorrow.  This is what I came up with today.  I was drawn to the "Party Pandas" set. It's been such a fun set to play with.  I am not sure what I will be making tomorrow for the final Sale-a-Bration set.  I have loved playing with them all.  Some I wish would stay but none will, so I will have to move on and not look back. I will be putting most of them in my web store after the 1st.  You can find my store just to the right of his post where it reads: "Shopping is Just a Click Away".

So, onto my card for today.  The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  I cut it on the 8-1/2" side at 4-1/4".  This card opens from the bottom.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Tempting Turquoise for the layer and the Whisper White piece was cut 3-3/4" x 5".

I stamped the panda on a separate piece of card stock and fussy cut him out.  I also fussy cut the balloon.

I stamped the "Happy Birthday" from the same "Party Pandas" set using Berry Burst, then Bermuda Bay.  Bermuda Bay was used again but the stamp wasn't reinked.  Then Tempting Turquoise was used and then used again without reinking.  And the last color is the Lemon Lime Twist stamped once with full ink and then again without reinking.

I added Dimenisonals to the balloon and to the panda but I didn't set them in place yet.  I taped the focal piece to the turquoise piece and then taped them to the card base.  I took some silver thread and wound it around my fingers and stuck it to one of the Dimensionals on the back of the panda.  Then I set the panda in place.  After the panda was in place I could see where to set the balloon.  I wished I would have moved the panda down a little bit more but it's still looks good where he's at.  I tied a piece of curled Baker's Twine to the balloon.  To curl it you do it just as you would curling ribbon but here you leave the snips closed.  I added a tiny dot of glue to the panda's hand to stick the twine and a little to the front of the card towards the end of the twine, just to keep it in place.  I added a few sequins and that was it!  Such a fun card to make.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
