Waterfront, Friendship Card, Raised Frame Technique, Stampin' Up! 2018 Occasions Catalog

I found this fun technique on Pinterest.  I thought I would give it a try.

First you stamp your image, be it scenery or flowers, etc.  I used the "Waterfront" set to pretty much copy the image that I found on Pinterest.  Then I took two oval Framelits and die cut them both at the same time.  I should have used the next smaller one to make a wider frame but it's still pretty this way too.

To attach the card front to my Night of Navy card base, I taped the large background piece.  Then I set the oval ring down and then I taped the oval circle.  I did NOT tape the oval ring. Once I had the other two pieces perfectly placed, I removed the ring and added Dimensionals to the back of it and set the ring in place.  Yup, as simple as that. I want to try this with the square Framelits next!!

Give it a try, it's a great way to give some dimension to a card.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
