Snowflake Sentiments, Merry Patterns, Christmas Card

I had gotten this "Merry Patterns" set for free.  There must have been some promotion going on at the time, I don't remember.  It's not a set I would have purchased.  I have used the "Merry Christmas" words on several cards and I have used the words shown here on several cards, except I would mask off the "From our family to yours".  I was going to mask it off on this card, but I forgot.  When I saw a few cards made using the candles in this set, I suddenly was glad I had the set.

Today I thought I would give those candles a try.  At first I thought the green and red were decorative papers and they were fussy cut and set in place.  But I was wrong.  It's actually two different images.  I stamped one using Real Red and the other using Pear Pizzazz.  Such fun and they look so pretty.  I wished I would have played with this sooner, I would have had my Christmas cards done by now!!!  So when I finish here, I'm off to work on our cards.  Tis the season!!!

To make this card I used a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock for the base.

I used the largest stitched square die and cut a piece of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the candles and then added the colors.  Even the candle wicks are a stamp!!!  Though I thought I would fair better if I just colored them in using the Daffodil Delight marker.

I cut a Real Red layer 3/16 larger than the stitched square. Next I stamped the words from the "Snowflakes Sentiments" set.  Then I set square layer in place using Dimensionals.  It's a pretty easy card to make!!

Thank you ever SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
