Santa's Suit, Oh What Fun, Christmas Card

I found the idea for this card on Pinterest.  I did a search for the "Santa's Suit" set.  I bought too many sets this year and I didn't have a lot of time to play with them all.  I need to be more careful when I order in the future, taking into account the number of days to work on the seasonal cards and to NOT be tempted by adorable cards.

I thought this card was adorable.  I don't know what was used on the original card for the edges but I used Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

I colored in the suit using the new alcohol markers.

The words are from the "Oh What Fun" set and I stamped them using Smoky Slate ink.

I used the largest clear stamping block to wrap my silver thread around.  I of then read instructions telling you to wind it around your hand. I've done that and the thread hardly shows. I must have smaller hands than the one giving the instructions. Plus the "hand" method is not a good way to measure.  So I have been using my clear stamping blocks to wind my threads. I used the 3" side, I think it's just a bit more than 3" but it's the largest block and I used the shorter side of it to wind the thread.  I set a glue dot down and stuck the thread to it. Here's a helpful tip for you, put the glue dot down first and then wind your thread!!!  Live and learn, though I didn't learn.  I made two of these cards and didn't put the glue dot down first for either one of them!!!  DUH!!!  LOL

I layered the suit with a Real Red scalloped circle and I set that in place on top of the silver thread using Dimensionals.  It's such a sweet, cute and easy card to make.

Thank you SO much for visiting today, and Happy Christmas Eve.  I don't know why I wrote that, next year someone will read this and it won't be Christmas Eve!!! LOL
