Merry Patterns, Christmas Card, 2017 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I found this fun card on Pinterest.  You can see the original here.  I did make a few little changes but all in all I think it turned out just as nice.  I didn't have the yellow string for the bow and I didn't have the background paper.  I used some background paper that was in my November 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Old Olive card stock.  On top of that is a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Basic Black card stock.  And on top of that is the piece from the Paper Pumpkin kit.  I cut it 3-3/4" x 5".

Next I stamped the candles on a piece of Whisper White card stock and die cut it using the "Stitched Circle" framelits. I stamped the candles using Real Red and Old Olive ink.  The outline stamp was done using Basic Black ink. I die cut a scalloped circle to fit behind the candles. I taped the two circle layers together.

The words are stamped on a 2-3/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White.  I stamped the outline of the words stamp using Basic Black ink and I used Old Olive ink to fill in the "season" word. I did set the scalloped oval in place so I could see where I could stamp.  It's a tight fit there. Behind the "tis the season" is a 2-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Old Olive.  I taped the layers together and then taped them in place on top of the plaid background.  I set the circle layers in place using Dimensionals.

I thought it was a fun card to make and it turned out just fine!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
