Daisy Delight, Thank You Card, 2017 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I have had a lot of fun with this "Daisy Delight" stamp set.  Though daisies are mostly a summer flower, it's got to be summer somewhere, right? I live in Minnesota. Our flowers are all gone until spring.  So for me it's odd to make cards with flowers on them this time of the year.  Though I have given it a lot of thought and I decided that I don't care what time of the year it is, people give flowers all year long so why not make cards with flowers anytime I wish!

SO, here is a flower card.  I'm not too thrilled with it.  Maybe it's that stigma of not making flowers this time of year that had a hand in this card.  It's not one of my favorites is what I'm really saying!!! LOL  The more I tried with it the worse it got!!  I stamped the flowers using Calypso Coral ink and then I also sponged them with that ink.  They were too white for the background.  I used the "Delightful Daisy" Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I thought it would be fun to put the DSP on the sides instead of just one side, or just the top or bottom.  Mix it up a bit.  Now that I look at it closer I think the flowers should have been a different color and maybe the card may have looked better.  But it is what it is and today I share it with you!!  Sorry!  LOL

It was still fun to play with the stamp set and just to stamp. I LOVE stamping and there are times that the card in my head does not look like the finished card.  This is one of those times!

I did fussy cut the Pear Pizzaz leaves.  There were only three so it wasn't too bad.

Thank you so much for looking. I promise tomorrow's card will be SO much better.

Have a wonderful day and than you for stopping by,
Wanda

  1. It's a lovely card. Anyone would be thrilled to receive it. From my perspective, you are too hard on yourself. I know what you mean about the card in my head not being what I actually make. But sometimes it is better to go by the saying, as you said, it is what it is, and leave well enough alone. I enjoy your creative cards. Enjoy your day!

  2. Personally, I would be happy to receive your card. Even though we stampers want to make the “perfect” card for that special person, what really brings joy to the recipient is being thought of and feeling loved that someone would take the time to make a card for them.
