Special Celebration, Masculine Birthday Card

Don't you think one of those leaves from the September 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit would look great on this card?  Make the word strip a bit thinner and add the leaf?? I might have to try that but not in the next few days, I will give you some time off from those leaves!!

Now if you are in need of a super quick masculine card, this is it.  I put this card together in less than 10 minutes, from start to finish.  And that included cleaning off the stamp and putting it away.  Yup, you read that right, I actually put it away!

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock. The wood pile image is from the 6" x 6" "Wood Texture" Designer Series Paper (DSP) stack.

I cut a 1-5/8" x 4-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock for the layer and a 1-3/8" x 4" piece of Very Vanilla for the wording strip.  The words are from the "Special Celebrations" set and were stamped using Soft Suede ink.  I taped those two layers together and tied some linen thread around them and tied a knot.  No bows for a guys card.  I set that word panel in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.  Oh and by the way, this wasn't my idea, I found this card on Pinterest. You can see the original card here.

But I do have to admit, this is one of the quickest cards I've ever made!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
