Seasonal Chums, Creep it Real, Halloween Card, Double Dutch Door Technique

Tuesday night I was at Terri's Tuesday Technique night and this was the card I had made for the technique swap.  Last month the technique was the "Double Dutch Door". We learn the technique and then make cards and swap them the next month. So this was my card for the swap.

I used the Seasonal Chums for the pumpkin. I did not fussy cut him out but I did color him after I punched him out. I used the 1-3/4" circle punch for that. I used a scalloped die just a little bigger than the circle and die cut one out of Basic Black card stock.

The instructions for the fold itself can be found here.  The bottom of mine didn't meet the top quite enough. The Very Vanilla on the inside shouldn't be showing through.  Not sure why that happened, but the next time I do this technique I will snug the bottom strip up to that line and trim away the excess at the bottom.

The words are from the "Creep it Real" set.  I stamped them using black Memento ink.  The pumpkin piece was set in place using Dimensionals.  I used 3 small ones and only on the top half.  If you add more to the entire circle you will end up taping your card shut and that's not a good thing at all!

This was a fun card to make and the decorative paper from the "Painted Autumn" Decorative Series Paper (DSP) was perfect for this card. I didn't get any Halloween DSP so I had to make do with what I had!  And I think it worked out nicely!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
