Daisy Delight, Happy Birthday Gorgeous, Birthday Card

I found this fun card on Pinterest.  You can see the original card here.  I did change the wording.  I wasn't sure of the colors used, so I guessed.  The photo on Pinterest takes you to a German site and the computer I was using didn't translate the words to English.

It's a simple enough card to make though.  You will need a folded half sheet of Whisper White card stock. I cut mine on the 8-1/2" side so this card opens at the bottom.

Next I cut a piece of Whisper White 3-5/8" x 3-1/8".  I took a scrap piece of Whisper White and stamped the daisy from the "Daisy Delight" stamp set using So Saffron ink.  I stamped the center using Always Artichoke.  I punched out the flowers and the flower center, and then I assembled the flower.

I set the flower on the 3-5/8" x 3-1/8" piece of Whisper White to see where I needed to stamp the leaves.  The leaves were stamped using Old Olive ink. I stamped the first leaf dark and then stamped the second leaf without re-inking the image.  I used Old Olive ink on the outline image.

I stamped the words from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set and used the ribbon punch on each end. The words were stamped using Always Artichoke.

I took a 1" wide scrap piece of "Delightful Daisy" Decorative Series Paper and taped it in place on top of the card base. I tied a piece of white baker's twine around the card front.  Then I added Dimensionals to the back of the Whisper White panel and set it in place on the card.  I added a Dimensional to the flower and set it in place over the stamped leaves.  I taped the top part of the words and set it in place on the Whisper White panel.  And lastly I added three rhinestones and the card was done.  But I think when I'm done here I'm going to add a little Wink of Stella to the flower center.  I think it could use a little sparkle.  This was a fun card to make and I could see myself making more!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
