Timeless Textures, Rose Wonder, Butterfly Framelit, Birthday Card

I found a fun card on Pinterest and I wanted to copy it. Apparently it was an older post, it used the white clay that was sold a few years back, along with the rose mold.  It also had a fern image that is no longer available. SO I updated and remade the card using what was current.  Making do with what I have!  Sometimes you just HAVE to!!

I took a photo of the layer before I taped every thing onto it so you could see where I placed things.  I started out with some Crumb Cake ink and I stamped the square grid image twice in the bottom left corner.  Then I took the dotted image and stamped part of it twice on the center right side.

Next I took the Pear Pizzazz ink and the lacy leafy looking image from the "Timeless Texture" set and stamped 3 leaves.
I took the coffee ring image and stamped it several times on top, I did stamp off before stamping directly onto the card stock. I also stamped a couple of rings on the bottom right.  I stamped one on the center left and I did not stamp off, I wanted this to show through the paper doily.  And lastly I used the dotted image to stamp some splats around the outer edges of the card, I did not stamp off on those.

I die cut my butterfly using Powder Pink card stock.  The layer behind the Whisper White piece is Powder Pink as well.

The base of this card is Crumb Cake, it's a folded half-sheet.

I added the half doily.  Then I taped the Powder Pink layer to the Crumb Cake base.  On top of that I taped the Whisper White piece.  The words piece was cut 3" x 1-1/4" and the Powder Pink layer was cut 1-3/8" x 3-1/8".  The words were stamped using Soft Suede ink. I wanted something darker than Crumb Cake.  I taped those layers together and I added Dimensionals on the back and set it in place.

I set the butterfly in place with two pieces of Dimensionals on the upper part of the body.  I added a little snail tape to the end of the body that would be touching the word layer.  I added 5 pearls down the center.  Then I thought it could use something else so I added Wink of Stella to the entire butterfly.  I recommend you do this before you attach it.  And that was it.

I did have trouble deciding if this was going to be a birthday or wedding card. I may make another one as a wedding card.  It was a fun card to make and I do like how it turned out.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
