This Little Piggy, Bloomin' Love, Friendship Card

I found "This Little Piggy" card on Pinterest. You can see the original card here.  I thought it was so cute that I had to make one.  I did not have Berry Burst ribbon like in the original card, so I made do with what I have.  What I have is Bermuda Bay and I think it looks just as cute with that color as with the Berry Burst.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White. You can cut it to open on the right or to open from the top, it's your call. Either way does not have any effect on the card.

I took a quarter sheet of Whisper White and dry embossed it using the new "Pine Wood Planks" embossing folder.  After I embossed it I cut it to 4" x 5-1/4".

I stamped the pig on Powder Pink card stock and fussy cut it out.  I like to start at the difficult parts when I have to fussy cut.  The tail was the difficult part. If you cut that out first then it's easier to maneuver than if you waited till the end.  Plus if you get the worst part over first, the rest is a breeze!

Next I stamped the image on Whisper White card stock and I used the largest circle die to cut it out and I used the largest scalloped die for the Bermuda Bay layer.  I taped the layers together.  Then I set the pig in place with Dimensionals.  I didn't have the same flower die that was on the original card, so I used a flower from the "Bloomin' Love" set.  I added a "Glitter Emerald Dot" to the center.  A pearl or rhinestone would be fine too.  Or even a punched out tiny circle.  Whatever you have or can think of!

I cut a piece of the Bermuda Bay Mini Chevron Ribbon and taped the ends to the back.  I was going to tape that to the card front when I noticed that the original card had used Dimensionals.  So I taped a piece of 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the back and I liked how sturdy it was. So a mistake turned out to be a good thing after all.  I set the panel in place using Dimensionals.  I took a piece of the ribbon and tied a knot on the front.  And that was it.  So easy, fairly quick and very fun!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
