Colorful Season, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up! 2071-2018 Catalog

As I stated in yesterday's post, I was at a very fun stamping extravaganza where I was demonstrating tips and uses for the new "Embossing Paste."  Sitting to the right of me was my sweet friend Colleen C.. She gave me one of the cards she had made.  I LOVE it!!!  I have this set and I can't wait to start playing with it more.  I have only used the leaf and the snowflake in it and that was for samples for the extravaganza.  But now that is all done and my worktable is almost cleared off I can begin to play with some of the new stuff I have gotten.

To make this card you will need a piece of Berry Burst cardstock cut 5-1/2" x 7".  Score it on the long side at 4-1/4".  The inside is a piece of the new "Color Theory" paper from the 6" x 6" stack.  I was surprised at the stack I had purchased, it's no longer in a tablet form, it's all loose sheets.  Mixed thoughts on that!  That inside piece measures 5-1/2" x 3".  On the outside the Early Espresso piece was cut 2-1/2" x 5-1/4".  And the Whisper White layer is cut 2-1/4" x 5".  I'm not sure what set the words are from, but I do like them very much.

The branch was die cut using the "Seasonal Layers" dies as well as the flowers.  The flowers behind the die cut ones were stamped on and it appears they were stamped off once and then stamped onto the cardstock.  Pearls were added to the center of each flower and that was it. It's a very simple and quick card to make.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
