May 2017 Paper Pumpkin, Guy Greetings, Father's Day Card

Here's my take on an alternative card for the May 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit.  I like how this card turned out and it was a lot of fun to play with!!

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Soft Suede.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla that was textured using the "Large Polka Dot" embossing folder.

Next I cut the blue donut card at the fold.  Now I have another blue circle to play with but it doesn't have the gold lines.  But still, it's another piece. The whole concept here is to use up the pieces in this kit and each time I've cut something I've ended up gaining a piece!!!  LOL

On top of that is the circle I cut out yesterday from the bag. Again, I had gotten two pieces out of that bag!!!  I bet I could have gotten more if I had cut the sides of the bag and opened it up.  I think I could have gotten 2 more half circles!!!

Next I stamped the car from the "Guy Greetings" set and cut it with the "Stitched Oval" dies. I took some of the gold and white thread that came in the kit and wrapped it so there were three different size circles.  I stuck them together using glue dots on each side (sandwiching the threads between the glue dots).  I tucked it in behind the card oval before I set the oval in place with Dimensionals.

I stamped the words using Soft Suede ink and trimmed them up.  I added a Soft Suede layer of cardstock and I set them in place with Dimensionals.

I do like how this card turned out!

Thank you so much for stopping by today,
Wanda
