Special Reason, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Mother's Day Card

Today I thought I would play with the "Special Reason" and "Stylish Stems" stamp set and Framelits dies.  Though, come to think of it, I didn't use the stamp set.  I was going to make this a birthday card and the "Special Reason" set did have a nice birthday words that would fit in that space, but I thought I should make a Mother's Day card instead and those words came from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set.

This was a fun card to make and very easy.

I used a folded half-sheet of Sweet Sugarplum card stock. Then a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of "Falling in Love" Decorative Series Paper (DSP) was taped in place.  Then I cut a  3" x 4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and I die cut the flower on the upper portion of that piece.

Next I cut a strip of Sweet Sugarplum 3" x 1/2" and taped it in place across the Very Vanilla piece.  See the photo for placement.  It's not directly in the center of the open area, it's  a bit above that.

I stamped the words using Tip Top Taupe ink and the Mother's day wishes from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set. I punched it out with the "Classic Label" punch.  I set it in place on the Sweet Sugarplum strip using Dimensionals.  I tied a piece of Linen thread around the Very Vanilla piece and set that panel in place using Dimensionals.

I added some sequins I had that were left over from a Paper Pumpkin kit and it was done!  Cute card, huh?  You can see the original one here.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
