Gift of Love, Birthday Card

This was a very simple card to make.  I used the "Gift of Love" set to do the flower.  I stamped it using VersaMark and embossed it in gold.  I colored it in using Soft Sky, Old Olive, and a blender pen.

I layered it with Old Olive to tie it in with the stems.

I typed the words on my computer.  I like having two different types of fonts in one image.  I want to work on some more birthday ones using a different font for the "birthday".  I like this one but it's kind of childish looking.  The flower is to sophisticated for that font.  I am planning on getting some other words, holidays, etc. made up too and putting them in PDF file for sale in my web store.  I have the one that is just a plain font and it's designed for the 1-1/4" punch but those have retired.  The words I just did fit the ovals.  I didn't try it on the circle framelits, I was needing an oval one.  I'll have to check to see how it works with the circles.  I'll keep you posted when I'm done creating the PDF.

This was a fun card to make.  It was easy and quick.  I'm sure you can find some wording to work with your card.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

  1. Really nice elegant card. Would also work for a sympathy card. Looking forward to your pdf. I am a fairly new stamper and cannot get "ALL" of the stamps sorry to say.
