Cookie Cutter Christmas, Santa Card

I still can't get enough of the "Cookie Cutter Christmas" set. I had made an extra Santa when I was punching them out and coloring them the other day.  I saw it sitting on my worktable and thought I would use it on a card today before I lose it or it gets ruined.  SO, I looked through my dwindling "Candy Cane Lane" Decorative Series Paper (DSP) and decided to use the frosting/icing image.  The other side of it is the cute peppermints but they clashed with Santa.  And I don't think I've used that image yet anyway, so there you have it!!! LOL

I layered the DSP on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock.  I cut it 2" wide and 4" long.  The Whisper White piece was cut 2-1/4" wide and 4" long.  I didn't have any red Baker's Twine so I used  red DMC embroidering floss.

The words are from the "Oh, What Fun" set from last year.  I stamped it using Memento Black ink and die cut it with the oval die and then added a scalloped oval Real Red die.  I set that in place with Dimensionals.

Santa was set on top of the layered strip using Dimensionals.  The knitted embossed piece of Crumb Cake was taped in place on top of a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

It was a fun card to make and super easy since the Santa was already done and waiting for a card home!!!!  But even if he wasn't all set to go, to stamp him and punch him out is quick and coloring him was quick too.  All of that probably added 5 minutes to the card!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
