A Swirly Bird and Hang Your Stocking Christmas Card

Okay, every now and then I'm going to sneak in a Christmas card. I'm working on some for Terri's Holiday Product Catalog Extravaganza.  I'm SO looking forward to demoing there!!!  I will share the cards I'm making for the extravaganza later, after the event is over.  I have to keep them secret for now!

So, onto this card.  I found it on Pinterest and it had a direct link to Mae's Cachet blog.  I didn't copy it exactly. I changed the words at the bottom.  Mine are from the "Hang Your Stocking" set.  I had the words she used from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set but the Modern Label punch is retired, so I thought I'd look for something more current.

I didn't have the bird she used either.  I am not sure what set hers is from.  The one here is from the "Swirly Bird" set as well as the swirly thing the bird is sitting on.

I did use some retired "Candy Dots" but coloring in some pearls with a red Sharpie would work just fine too.  I just didn't feel like getting out my Sharpies, plus I wanted to use up some of this retired stuff around here.  But for you demonstrators, you know how to replace retired pieces with current ones!!!

The paper from the background here is from the "Serene Scenery" 6" x 6" paper stack.  I love using that stack.  It's got your typical decorative paper on one side and photographic images on the other side.  It's a fun pack and I'm hoping to use it more.  I thought it was fun that I could use some for a Christmas card, I never thought it would work for that.  I was proven wrong.

This was a fun card to make even though I did have to fussy cut the bird.  But it was only one, so I was okay with that!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
