A Garden in Bloom and Better Together Birthday Card

I'm hanging onto summer a little longer with these lighter color cards.  Though I'm not a big fan of summer, I do hate to see all the pretty flowers go away. And it seems like after Labor Day I'm making fall, Halloween, and Christmas cards. I can make fall colored flowers with this "Garden in Bloom" set but I usually don't because by then I'm into all the new stuff in the Holiday Occasions catalog.

This is actually a technique, the "One Sheet Wonder".  I didn't use a full sheet of card stock to do this technique though.  I used a quarter sheet and got 2 cards out of it.

First I took the flower outline and I stamped flowers all over the card stock.  Then I took the petals image and stamped off with the Pacific Point ink and then onto my flower outline.  I stamped the centers with Daffodil Delight and the small flower center stamp in the set.  And for the Pear Pizzazz I used a sponge dauber and went all around the flowers.  Then I cut two 2" strips, which left 1/4" scrap.  I suppose you could use it for something else, but I just put it in recycling.

The words are from the "Better Together" set.  I stamped them using Pacific Point ink and then layered it with the "Layering Ovals Framelits".  I set those layers on using Dimensionals.

It was a quick and simple 2 cards!!  Imagine if you did use a full sheet, you could make 8 matching cards in no time at all!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
