A Flower Patch, Flourishing Phrases and Playful Pallet Washi Tape Congratulations Card

Okay, before you say anything, I will confess to you how much I do NOT pay attention to things.  I stamped the flower using Peekaboo Peach ink and then I fussy cut it out. I didn't need to, I also have the Thinlit dies that go with the set.  Duh! And it's not that I couldn't find it.  I have it rubber banded to the set and I took the rubber band off and had it around my wrist.  Not one of those clues eluded me to look at the dies to see if I didn't have to fussy cut!!! LOL  Okay, now with that confession aside, I would have had to fussy cut the center 5 petal piece.  I had stamped the image twice and cut the center flower out.  It wasn't my original thought but when I saw there was a piece of lint or something that was on the stamp and transferred to the paper, I had to either re-stamp the image or cover it up somehow.  I thought about taking some ink and tapping it on so it would blend but sometimes that shows, so I decided to stamp the image again, making sure I got the center on my scrap piece of card stock, and I cut it out by hand.  It wasn't bad, after all, I had just cut the big flower!!! LOL

I cut my card stock as follows.  I used a folded half sheet of Whisper White card stock.  Then i took a piece of the Flirty Flamingo and cut it 4" x 5-1/4".  Then I took a piece of Blushing Bride and cut it 3-3/4" x 5".  And the focal Whisper White piece was cut 3-5/8" x 4-7/8".

Next I took the "Playful Petals" Washi tape and set it across the panel at an angle.  I set the flower on where I wanted it but didn't set it in place yet.  I wanted to see where to stamp the Emerald Envy leaf. Then I set the flower in place using a Dimensional.  The center flower piece was added with a Dimensional as well. I added a pearl to the center of that.

The words are from the "Flourishing Phrases" set.  I do have to admit, that is a great set to have.  Lots of fun words to use on a large variety of cards.  And that was it!  If I had used the die to cut the flower it would have gone much faster but all in all it really didn't take long to make. I do like how it turned out!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
