A Summer Silhouettes Birthday Card

As I was paging through the 2015-2016 catalog I saw the "Summer Silhouettes" set.  It's been around for a little while now and I think it may be one of the sets retiring in a few months.  I do like this set and with that in mind I thought I would make a card with it. I liked the card that was on page 122 of the catalog but I did change it a little.

For my card I used Mossy Meadow for the stems, Pear Pizzazz for the leaves, Daffodil Delight and Hello Honey for the flowers. And for the bottom part I used Mint Macaron.

I used Hello Honey cardstock for the layer and for the oval scallop.

The words are from the "Wetlands" set. I used black ink on Whisper White cardstock.

It was a very simple and quick card to make.  I wanted to make something with a touch of spring to it (as I'm looking out the window to our freshly fallen snow!)

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
