A Sparkly Season Merry Christmas

I wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas!!  I hope your day is filled with joy and many fond memories.

This is the card I sent out this year.  I used the "Sparkly Season" set to make it.

For my sparkle I used glue and a toothpick along with some Dazzling Diamonds ultra fine glitter.  I wanted some sparkle to my card and this did it.

I had colored in the image using markers.  I did that way back in October in the car while we were on our way for a 3 day getaway.  I like to have stuff to do in the card.  Many times coloring is one of them. Usually with colored pencils, but this time I braved it and used markers.  And I didn't mess up once.  I even reminded hubby to let me know when there was bad roads, road construction and tunnels!!  I got them all colored on that little trip!!

Then it was a matter of the glitter.  That took a few nights.  I didn't have a lot of space to lay them out to dry, so each night I would do a few.  Then it was time to assemble.  There are LOTS of Dimensionals on this card.  Every piece has some!

I did glue the textured background on. I find that tape doesn't quite do the trick because of all of the gaps in the texture, it doesn't get complete adhesion.  I am leaning towards an easier card next year but that all depends on what Stampin' Up! comes up with and what catches my eye.  I can never seem to do just simple!!!  But it's worth it, I like my little snowman card!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day and thank you for stopping by!
