A Happy Scenes and Perpetual Birthday Calendar Christmas Card

Today's card was inspired (copied) from a card I found at Freshly Made Sketches.  It was made by Cindy Hall.  You can see the original card here.  I did change it a bit.  I struggled with the edges that she made.  I LOVED how they were made but I couldn't recreate them without making a huge mess.  I tried to wipe off the edges of the block before I stamped but I managed to make a mess.  I even got it on my fingers and transferred it to my card.  UGH!  I was about to give up but I stuck with it.  So, this is what I came up with.

I used the "Happy Scenes" set for the trees.  I took a piece of post it note paper and traced that line under the trees and set it on top of my glitter paper and cut that same shape.

The words are also from the "Happy Scenes" set.  And the snowflakes are from the "Perpetual Birthday Calendar" set.

I used Soft Sky for the snowflakes and sponging.  And I used a strip scrap piece of Pool Party for the word strip.  I still like Cindy's card better.  I do like my card and like I tell the gals who come to my home to stamp, "don't compare yours to the original".  One of these days I will follow my own words!!  LOL

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
