Papillon Potpourri Mother's Day Card

Today I'd like to share with you a Mother's Day card I made using the butterfly from the Papillon  Potpourri set.  I love using this layout but I don't use it very often because of having to line up the circles.  I did make a template but you can only punch those so many time and the holes become larger due to it being difficult to hit them exactly.  I did punch the holes in the Whisper White piece and then taped it to a Daffodil Delight piece that was 1/8" larger.  An easier way to do it would be to add a Whisper White panel and tape on 3 Daffodil Delight circles.  DUH!!!  I love those "DUH" moments.  They don't always come after the first time I've done something, it usually takes several attempts.

The words were done on the computer and layered on a Daffodil Delight circle and then set in place on a Tempting Turquoise Scalloped circle.  It was put on the card using Dimensionals.

The butterflies were stamped using Strawberry Slush, Tempting Turquoise, and Melon Mambo.  They were punched out and set in place using Dimensionals.

The background was done using an embossing folder.  Such a fun background, huh?

This was a very easy card to make.  I will be using this layout in the future, I want to try it with one of the flower stamps (that has a matching punch!!!).

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
