A Sheltering Tree Birthday Card

I got this set about a month ago but have not used it yet.  I don't know why, there's so many pretty cards made using it.  I thought I would make a spring looking card.  The trees here are getting greener and greener and those beautiful lime green colors are darkening each day.  I still want to make one with the cherry blossoms on it.  I may give that one a try tomorrow. We're suppose to get rain so it may be an indoors day!!!  I like those kinds of days.

For my card here I sponged in Tempting Turquoise for the sky.  For the foreground I sponged in some Pearl Pizzazz.  I also used Pear Pizzazz on the stamped grass/ground image.

The tree was stamped using Early Espresso.  The leaves were stamped using Pear Pizzazz and some Garden Green tapped on using the ink pad.  The swing was stamped using Early Espresso.

The words are from the "Hey You" set and stamped using Early Espresso.  And that was it.  Very simple and super quick!!!  I think my next card will have the tree moved down a lot more so 1/3 of the card is not an open grassy area!  Unless you can find bigger words for that space.  It's just too open.  But looking beyond that, the tree turned out pretty and I love that little swing.

This would be a great masculine card too!  It also looks like it could be used as a sympathy card as well.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
