The Open Sea Masculine Father's Day Card

I skipped another day of posting and stamping.  I had to work and then I was playing with my silver, making rings!!! I'm still working on the issue of getting the solder to flow.  I think I have it figured out.  Now to master it!!!

Anyway, today I took some time to play with stamps.  I just don't feel normal if I don't get to play with stamps more than once a week!!!  I wasn't sure what kind of card I was going to make until I opened up the Moonlight little paper stack and saw this fun decorative paper.  It reminded me of water.  So I looked through my stamp sets and took the first ship one that I saw.  I could have used Traveler but I saw The Open Sea first so I went with it.

I stamped the ship and the words using Lost Lagoon ink.  The words are from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.  One of my favorite.  I used my circle dies to cut out the ship and the border behind it.  The words were punched out using the Word Window punch and the Modern Label punch was used for the layer behind the words.

The base of the card is Lost Lagoon, then a trimmed piece of Whisper White was added.  3" of the decorative paper and the rest of the images were added on top of that.  A SUPER simple and quick card to make!!!

Now back to my ring.  I need to clean it up and make it round, or make it around and clean it up. I have to figure out that step too!!! LOL  I will show it to you when I get it done!!  Yes, even if it doesn't turn out!!! LOL

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
