A Lotus Blossom and Mother's Love Card Peekaboo Card Technique

I am not sure what occasion I will use this card for.  Maybe Mother's Day.  I made it because I wanted to try the Peekaboo Technique that I saw on Split Coast Stampers.

I tried to make one the other day but I made a mistake on it and I had to separate myself from it because I REALLY liked the decorative paper I was going to use and I didn't have anymore. So the lesson I learned here is to use retired paper or paper you don't like so much when first making something like this.  I struggle with that concept too, because what if it turns out and I REALLY don't want to make another one?  I'm not sure how many more of these I would make.  The think about this card I don't like is when that smaller fold slides across the flower image, it sometimes gets hung up on it.  If I were to make another one I would make that oval one size larger, then that piece wouldn't be able to catch on the edge.  Other than that I like how the card works.
I used the Lotus Blossom stamp set for the flower. And the words are from the Mother's Love set.  The decorative paper is from the Sweet Taffy pack.

I used Tempting Turquoise for the base of my card. I added some ribbon to the front because that space was pretty wide and the original card showed some fancy die cut stuff that I didn't have.  So I just kept mine simple with some ribbon.

It's a fun card to make but I'm not sure if I would make another one.  It would have to be for someone very special or a super special occasion!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
