A Petite Petals with Work of Art and Flowering Flourishes Birthday Card

As I was trying to put a dent to the mess in my workroom, I ran across a piece of this fun decorative paper from the Sweet Taffy pack. Tempting Turquoise has always been a favorite of mine. It's such a soothing color.

I stamped the Flowering Flourishes image using black Memento ink.

Next I used the Work of Art image and Tempting Turquoise ink to make the background of the focal panel. I stamped the image 4 times (without reinking).

I stamped the flowers from the Petite Petals using Tempting Turquoise ink.  I punched them out and set them aside.

I punched out a Tempting Turquoise round scallop and I cut the layers of Tempting Turquoise.  I was now ready to assemble my card.

The base of the card is a folded half sheet of Whisper White.  I added a layer of Tempting Turquoise on top of that.  Then the decorative paper.  I trimmed the focal piece so there was about 1/8" of white on each edge. I cut the layer behind it to fit.

The words were done on my computer.  I did have a question about the words.  I do sell them in my web store.  You can find them here.  I've been having trouble finding stuff in my web store.  I hope the direct link works but if it doesn't then just click the word "shop" on the top of the main page, it will take you to the store.  If you encounter any other problems, please let me know.  The words page have 10 different greetings that all fit in the 1-1/4" circle punch and some fit in the oval punch.  I like to print out a page of each and punch them out just to have them on hand.  It makes for a quicker card!!

I did have fun making this card.  I think I would like to try it in other colors too!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
