A Butterfly Thinlits Gorgeous Grunge and Love & Sympathy Card

I am loving detailed Thinlits now since I discovered the best way for me to use them.  I shared this the other day but I will share it again and again!  All you need is some waxed paper.  You don't need the dryer sheets.  You put the waxy side down on your cutting platform.  Then the card stock.  Then another piece of waxed paper and then the Thinlit.  Run it through your Big Shot and remove the butterfly.  I did find that a few pieces stuck to the butterfly but I just lightly flicked the butterfly and the pieces popped right off!!!  I am SO into these detailed Thinlits now!!!  I LOVE how this butterfly turned out!

So now lets talk about the card.  The base of the card is a folded half sheet of Whisper White card stock.  The focal Whisper White piece was cut 5" x 3-3/4".  And the Tempting Turquoise piece of card stock was cut 1/8" larger than the focal piece.

I used the dotted image from the Gorgeous Grunge set and Tempting Turquoise ink.  I did stamp off once before I used it on the card stock.  I repeated this several times on the piece.  Then I used the splatter piece.  A few of the images are directly from the ink pad and then stamped again on the image.  I did that a few times too.

The words are from the Love & Sympathy set.  I found a card I liked on Pinterest and I traced it back to Liz at Stampin' Bliss.  I thought it would be fun to recreate it "my way!"  I just picked out what I liked on her card and ran with it on my card!  And this is what I came up with.  I like it.  I need to get it out in the mail on Tuesday.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
