A Endless Wishes Wording and Ribbon Technique

DUH!  I always forget to do something on a card.  Though you will have to give me some credit today.  I did get the photo much straighter plus I even got the words straight!!! See, there is still hope for me!!! LOL

Today's card was copied from a card Jackie at Klompen Stampers.  I had another card in mind that I was going to make but when I saw this one, I just HAD to make it!!!  I love snowflakes (but lately just the ones on paper!!!).

This was such a stunning card.  She had posted this card because she was showing how you can use the words in the clear set to stamp all at one time.  You line up your words on your grid paper and then press your stamp down onto them.  Make a test run first and if all is straight, then you're good to go!!!  I LOVED that idea, so I had to give it a try.  And it worked!!!  Part of the reason my words were on straight.  I was able to use the edge of the clear block to line up with the edge of my card stock.  I know there's a Stamp-a-ma-jig but I rarely dig that out!! I just whine when I get it crooked!!! LOL

The colors used here are as follows:
card stock:  Whisper White and Soft Sky
ink pads: Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz, Lost Lagoon

The ribbon was colored using the Blendability markers.  Though I did not pay attention that the color of the marker was Coastal Cabana or I would have changed my ink and card stock.  But I think it blends well.  Not so much with the light shining on it the way it is in the photo but in real life it isn't as dark.

The decorative paper strip is from the "All is Calm" Specialty Paper.  I forgot I had gotten that.  And you know what that means, right?  You'll be seeing that in a few more cards this week!!!  I just have WAY too much stuff to play with.

This was a very fun card to make and one I'd like to keep but I am going to be giving it to a special friend.  I could make another one but I rarely do that!  But before I give it away, I am going to add the rhinestones like Jackie did.  I can't believe I forgot to do that!!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

  1. Beautiful Card!!!

PS: only the card maker see's that things are not straight including the card itself in the picture, but I am the same way.
