A Bloom With Hope Birthday Card

I have not copied a Sandi MacIver card in a very long time.  Not sure why, I LOVE her cards!!!

I found this gem on her site and I'm sure that I did not copy it exactly, but I thin kit's close enough.  I like how it looks and that is what is important, right?

The base of the card was done using Soft Suede card stock. Then a piece of Coastal Cabana was added on top.  Then I used the decorative paper from the Lullaby pack.  I was not so fond of that side of the paper, I liked the little hearts on the other side, but it was fun to see this paper in a different light!

The next layer is Basic Black and then Whisper White on top of that for the focal images to be stamped.  I used the "Bloom with Hope" stamp set.  I did have to do some fussy cutting on the flower on the bottom right.  I cut it out first and then I colored it.  I did it that way because too many times I have colored and then botched up the cutting.  So now I cut first and then color.

This was a fun card to make and I REALLY do like that background paper!!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
