A Flower Shop Birthday

I was in the mood to make a fall card.  I have a large maple tree in the front of our home.  It's not extremely tall but it's massive.  We don't even discuss all the leaves that come off that tree!  But we do talk about the colors on that tree this time of year.  There are so many shades of orange!  The bedrooms glow of orange when the curtains are open. I LOVE the color in those room!  So I decided to go with an orange color to do the flower.

I stamped the flower using Vellum, a VersaMark pad, white embossing powder, and medium Pumpkin Pie Blendability marker.  I colored the back side of the vellum with the marker.  Once it was dry I turned it over and took the darker Pumpkin Pie marker and colored the center of the flower.  I did wipe a bit of the color off with my finger.

I used my stylus and my scoring board and made lines on my card stock.  I started 1/2" from the edge and made 3 consecutive lines.  I turned the card stock and started in a 1/2" and made the 3 lines on the bottom.

The crooked words are from the "Bloom with Hope" set.  I practiced several times to get it straight and then when it came to stamping on the actual piece I got it crooked.  Now I know there's a thing called a "Stamp-a-ma-jig" but that would require me getting it out of the cupboard and then putting it away when I'm done!!!  SO lazy, huh?  LOL  So when you're lazy and not a good aim, you get crooked cards!!!

The layer the lines, flower, and words are on was cut 4" x 5-1/4".  When I finished I set the flower in place using Dimensionals and I set the layer in place using Dimensionals.  It's a super quick and easy card to make.  Just stamp straight!!! LOL

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
