Work of Art Meets Gorgeous Grunge Masculine Birthday Card

Today's card is a combination of a card I found by Mary at Stamper Camper.  I made several changes to it.  Not that I didn't like Mary's card but I needed a birthday card and the words in the "Work of Art" set do not read "happy birthday".  I used the "Wetlands" set for the words.  I also didn't have the Washi tape she used so I used the "Gorgeous Grunge" set to add the angled lines.

I used Soft Sky ink but ended up with Pool Party card stock.  Don't ask!!!  LOL

I also used the round image from the "Gorgeous Grunge" set to make dots in the background.  This card is for a guy and I didn't think rhinestones were a good choice for me.  And there's also a plus to this. This card will now not cost extra to mail due to the lack of rhinestones.

This was a very fun card to make and very easy too.  The ink colors here are Soft Sky, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, and Sahara Sand.  Now personally I never would have thought to put these colors together but they sure do work, don't they?

My card stock is Pool Party, Sahara Sand, Basic Gray and Whisper White.

I had used the Basic Gray ink on the words, and the Basic Gray card stock for the layer.  I used the Smoky Slate ink for the angled stripes.  The Basic Gray was just too dark.

It's a great masculine card!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
