A Work of Art Birthday

I thought I would whip up a quick card today.  I have been busy with my clay and I actually took the day off from stamping and posting yesterday.  I will share with you what I've been working on.  A tray of clay just finished baking but it requires assembly so it will be a day or two before I get to that part.  I need to bake as much clay stuff as I can this week, plus the holiday too!

So for today's card:  it came from Terri's display board when I was at her latest Stamp a Stack.  I don't know who designed this card and it may be a little difficult to pin down that person because I did change it a bit too.  I loved the colors of this card and that is what I was drawn to. Then, of course, the Work of Art set was used. I LOVE using that set!!!  Anytime I find a fun card that I just can't take my eyes off, I HAVE to make it.  I really should try to design one of my own.  Imagine that?  LOL  I've been doing so many repeats of other people's cards (with a few minor changes) and now and then I come up with an original card.  I have been slacking on the originality lately!!  But there's just SO many cute cards out there that I just HAVE to copy.  I'm obsessed!!! LOL

The words on my card are from the retired "Bring on the Cake" set.  I just thought this looked like a birthday splatter type card and this cake image fit it well.  The original card had a heart on the blue spot and the words were "just for you".  I could have copied the whole card but I wanted to make a birthday card!  You can make yours any way you want!!

The base of my card is a half sheet of Whisper White.  The dotted layer is Marina Mist and the focal panel is Whisper White.  The inks used here are Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette, Strawberry Slush, and Pistachio Pudding.

This was a fun and easy card to make.  What a festive birthday card this is, huh?

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
