A Positively Chevron Birthday

I made this fun card at Terri's Stamp a Stack last Thursday.  It's another card I liked and don't have the stamp sets to make more.  But that's ok.  I can always use background paper in place of the "Positively Chevron" background stamp.  And I can always substitute any other wording.  I have the paper doilies and the little flower stamp is on it's way.  I ordered it because I wanted the tiny little (adorable) star stamp that is in the set.  There's 3 punches in the Itty Bitty Accents punch set and I'm thinking the third one is a heart.  I was only interested in the star and the flower.  I'd make an excellent eye witness, wouldn't I?  I pay such great attention to details!!!! LOL

This was a super fun card to make.  Do you notice how straight I got the background image on my card?  What to know how to do that yourself?  Of course you do, and I will tell you.  First you ink up your stamp and leave it face up with Crumb Cake ink.  Then you take a little bit of tape runner (about a half inch in length) and place it on the center of the back of your piece of Crumb Cake card stock.  Pick up the card stock with your finger and hover over the image and slowly lower the card stock in place.  Press down on the card stock using a piece of scrap paper over it, and rub all over the paper to get the ink on the card stock.  Remove the scrap paper, your card stock should come with it.  Remove it from the paper and viola, your image should be on your card stock exactly where you want it.

Once the background was stamped the doily went on. Then we stamped the white strip and punched the edge.  The ribbon was added.  I love how the ribbon was just slid into the slot and tied with a piece of Baker's Twine.

Next the flowers were added using tiny glue dots and pearls were set in the center of each one.  Oh, I forgot to tell you to add the background piece to the card base before you start adding all of the other stuff.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
