A Mosaic Madness Birthday

I have not touched this stamp set in a long time.  I do still like it but it has a Christmas feel to it to me.  I found this card made by Jennifer at Ladybug Designs.  I thought it looked like a fun card to make using the "Mosaic Madness" set.  When I first saw it I liked it immediately, mostly because of the elegant black and white look.  Then as I looked at the other elements of the card it grew on me even more, if that was even possible.

It's a simple enough card to make too.  And as usual, mine is not exactly like the original one.  My first change was the base of the card.  I could not get my card stock in the Big Shot with the embossing folder so what I ended up doing was making the base of my card Basic Black and then embossing a 1/4 sheet of card stock.

I also changed the wording and the layout of the wording too.  I used the Modern Label Punch and the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set.

I didn't have any measurements but I used the 1-3/8" circle punch.  That white strip is cut 2" x 5-3/8".  I punched out a circle using scrap copier paper.  I set the circle on the center of the strip and drew around it with a pencil so I would know where the circles should go.  I suppose you could punch out 3 circles and tape them in place and punch over then.  Then you wouldn't have to trace.  Why do I come up with these easier shortcuts after I've done the card???  LOL  Oh well, at least I can share them with you and you can save yourself a few minutes and a bit of stress trying to get things lined up evenly!!!

It's difficult to see in the picture but each punched out image has a rhinestone in the center of it.

It was a fun and easy card to make!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
