A Flower Patch Get Well

Today I was in need of a Get Well card.  SO while surfing the net I ran across a fun "Flower Patch" card that I worked into a get well card.  You can see the original card here.  I liked the original card but I lacked all the supplies.  So I ran with what I had and I do like how it turned out.

The base of my card is a folded half sheet of Crisp Cantaloupe.  Then I added a layer of Whisper White and on top of that is a piece of decorative paper from the "All Abloom" paper pack. I LOVE those packs.  You get quite a variety of papers for a great price!

Next I stamped my flowers using the "Flower Patch" set.  Then I cut them out using the "Flower Fair" dies.  I don't have the magnetic piece for my Big Shot so I just put a post it across the die and stamped image and it held it in place just fine, no shifting at all.

I cut a scrap piece of Whisper White for the word panel and I added a scrap piece of decorative paper from the same "All Abloom" pack.  I assembled my card and then realized that I forgot to add the words.  I couldn't add them now, my word panel is sitting on the card with Dimensionals under it!  UGH!  So I got out my trusty "Modern Label" punch and the "Word Window" punch along with the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set and I was able to fix my error.  I really just wanted the words stamped on the word panel part but this is what I ended up with. I like it but it wasn't what I wanted.

It was a fun card to make and it went together rather quickly.  I do like the dies but I'd much rather have a punch.  It's less time using a punch than the dies.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
