Watercolor Wonder Post-it Note Holder Weekend Project

I have not done a "Weekend Project" in a while and I thought I would play with the new scalloped tag punch to make one.

I cut my Watercolor Wonder decorative paper 2" x 5".  I punched the scalloped edge and then proceeded to wrap the paper around my 1-1/2" x 2" sticky note paper.  I creased the edges with the bone folder.  You want them nice and sharp.  Once I was done doing that I folded the top flap shut like you would if it were all put together.

Next I took a pencil and marked on both sides of the center scallop.  I took my craft knife and cut a line dot to dot.  This slit is for that tip of the scallop to go through to hold the cover down on the note holder.

Then I picked out a flower I liked from the "Petite Petals" set and stamped it using Crisp Cantaloupe.  I punched it out and set it in place over the opening of the tag using a Dimensional.  I didn't really want that part of the tag to show.  Be careful not to press to hard on the flower when the top flap is shut, the Dimensional is partly exposed and can stick to your note paper.  Use a little corn starch on the exposed Dimensional to make it not sticky anymore.  You can also use some clear tape but that will show.  After adding the flower I added a Candy Dot to the center, tucked the tip of the scallop in the slit I created and it was done!  Oh SO simple and quick too!  These would be great for little Hostess Gifts, Customer Appreciation Gifts, Make n Takes or just to have for yourself!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
