A Happy Watercolor Birthday

WOW, what a  fun and quick card this was.  My card is a little off center.  I was planning on putting the word scallop at the top but it covered the flowers a bit.  Moving it to the bottom was the way to go but then the flowers should have been moved up.  Oh well, this is how it looks today!

I used Pool Party ink and card stock.  There's a fun little background stamp in the set that does that watercolor washed look. I inked up my stamp once and then stamped the three blocks you see.

Next I stamped the flower sprig.

I punched the scallop from the layer beneath the Whisper White stamped piece.  I figured no one would see that there is a scallop hole in the card stock. And I didn't want to get a new piece of card stock just to make a scallop.

The words were made on my computer and then punched out using a 1-1/4" circle punch.  The black circle is punched out using the 1-3/8" punch.

If you're looking for a quick, easy and yet fun card to make, this is it! This card would be great to make a set of cards in different colors.  And it would make a great Stamp a Stack card.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
