Thoughts and Prayers Birthday Card

Today I needed to make a birthday card.  It's for a January birthday but with us falling back into the deep freeze, I didn't want to make a winter theme card.  I'm really thinking spring.  I'm SO tired of being cold.  I am one who likes winter but NOT this year!!

For this card I used the "Thoughts and Prayers" set. This set is very versatile and you know how much I LOVE to have versatile sets!!!  This would make a lovely Mother's Day card, a Thinking of You card and of course a Sympathy card too.

I used the tiny flower punch and with the end of a pen I pressed the punched flowers into a piece of Fun Foam.  I glued the flowers in place and then I took the gel pen and added some white dots to the center of each flower.  The flower stem was stamped using Chocolate Chip ink.

The words were done using my computer. I punched them out with the 1-1/4" circle punch, the Strawberry Slush circle was made with the 1-3/8" punch and the Scalloped punch was made using a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock.

I used the Ribbon punch for the Chocolate Chip strip between the Whisper White card stock and the Strawberry Slush decorative paper.

This was a very fun and easy card to make.  I think it would make a wonderful Stamp a Stack card too!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
