A Fabulous Florets Birthday

I love playing with the "Fabulous Florets" set.  I wish it had a punch or die to go with it though.  I had seen a card on the net that just caught my eye so I made my interpretation of it.  I didn't want to make it exactly like the one I found because of the ribbon and other factors.  You can see the original card here.  I really liked the "En Francais" background and the "Hello Doily".  Plus I liked the flower but I did change it a lot.

For my card I used the following:
Fabulous Florets
Hello Doily

En Francais
Simply Sketched
Cherry Cobbler
Smoky Slate
Black StazOn
Always Artichoke
White embossing powder

I did stamp off when doing the background. I wanted the words to be extremely light.

I had originally stamped the green part using Wild Wasabi but it was just too light for the flowers so since I had already cut it out I just colored it in with the Always Artichoke marker  I wasn't going to cut that piece out again, it was the worst to cut out because of all the thin pieces.

The words are from the "Simply Sketched" set and I used the oval punch and oval scalloped punch.  That piece was set in place using Dimensionals.  I am wanting to make another card using that same background but maybe different flowers and different colors too.  It was a fun card to make except for all the cutting.  Which I learned was called "fussy cutting."  Fussy is right!!! LOL

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
