Flowering Flourishes Festive Flurry Snowflake Card

Today I found a fun and beautiful snowflake card.  I thought it was just stunning.  You can see the original card here.  I was at Terri's Stamp-a-Stack and it was on her display boards from swaps that she had participated in.

You need a piece of the silver foil paper.  It's so shiny!  And you will need some Whisper White card stock.

The Flowering Flourishes set was used to make the beautiful Flourish which was stamped using the Smok Slate ink pad and stamped off once.  Straight from the pad is just too dark.

Then the snowflakes were done using the Festive Furry set and the dies.  You also need a piece of the silver glitter paper.  I am not overly fond of the star in the center and I wish I would have just laid it on the center of the snowflake first so I could see how it looked before setting it in place (crooked).  I think I would have added a larger glittered circle instead.

The layered piece was set in place using Dimensionals  Oh and that piece measures 4-1/4" x 3"  (the white piece).

The glittered circles are 3/8" circles.

The top snowflake is the second largest in the set.  And the die that is used to cut it out is also the same die used to cut a piece out of the silver glitter paper.  Then the next largest snowflake was used, using the ink directly from the pad.  Unlike the smaller snowflake that used the ink stamped off once.  It's just too dark to use it right from the pad.  I tried that.  Not so pretty!!

The greetings are from the new  "Endless Wishes" Photopolymer Stamp set.  Those are such fun sets.  Lots of pieces to them and not a lot of money!! Plus you can see where you are stamping it.

That about covers it all.  So if you are going to make one, try setting a 1/2" glittered circle in the center of the snowflake instead of the star.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
