A Monochromatic Flower Shop Thank You

I am still working on the thank you cards I need to get out this week.  Today I thought I would try a monochromatic card.  I have not made one of those in a while.

I used the decorative paper from the "Modern Medley" pack.  I cut 3/4" strips.  I cut these strip pretty long.  I just trimmed them off a 6" x 6" piece.  Then I taped them to a thin strip of scrap card stock so I could get them evenly spaced apart before I attempted to do that on the card front.  Plus I was able to take that piece to the paper trimmer and cut my angle on all three at the same time.

The "Thanks so much" came from the Simply Sketched Hostess set.  I used the oval punch and oval scallop.  I set the words in place using Dimensionals.  I had also used Dimensionals on the flowers.  And now as I'm looking at the card I can see that I forgot to put the pearls on the center of the flowers!!! UGH!!  Ok, now you have to imagine the center of the flowers with pearls in them!!!  LOL

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

I love this card, Wanda. Black and white cards are so classy! I love everything about it. I may try to make one by using different background designs and a different flower. I don't happen to have what you have. Thanks so much for sharing this with us.

  2. I love the Black and White too, and I hadnt thought of puting strips onto cardstock and then trimming them to get the right angle! Makes so much sense! Thanks for sharing Wanda.
