Six Sided Sampler Birthday Card

While surfing the net (again! or should it read "still!"  LOL) I ran across this fun card.  I found it at Becky's Scrapin' and Stampin' blog, the August 29th post.  Becky had done hers using decorative paper and hexagon punch.  I wanted to see if I could do it with just the rubber stamp and ink.  I did use my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the hexagons lined up as well as I could.  You have to be REALLY good with that thing to get them perfect.  It may have been easier to just punch out the paper.  I couldn't do that, I don't have a lot of that paper left.  And no, I'm not hoarding it!!! LOL  Becky also used Prima flowers on her card.  I made paper ones.

For my card I used the Six Sided Sampler set with black StazOn. I used the Boho Flower punch to make my Real Red flowers.  I added a pearl to the center of each flower after I glued them in place.  The words are from the Simply Sketched Hostess set and the card is made using Whisper White cardstock.

Even with using the
Stamp-a-ma-jig it was a pretty simple and quick card to make.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

  1. Fantastic CAS card! I saw Becky's also and love them both. This looks like a design idea I need to hold onto.
I love the black ink with the red flowers on yours. It gives it a really modern feel to it, I think. Nice job!
