Six Sided Sampler

I know the hexagons are really in right now so I bought the Six Sided Sampler stamp set and the punch to go with it.  I hadn't played with the set yet because I hadn't found anything that really caught my eye to make.  Surfing the net the other day I found this card.  And other than the words and card base color I pretty much copied it exact!  Just because I REALLY liked it!!

The original card was done by Margaret at Fun Stampin' with Margaret.  I had everything to make it but the words and I knew I could find other wording.  My wording came from the Express Yourself hostess set.  That is going to be a very well used set.  I LOVE the font.

The stripes on the paper are made using the Gingham Garden Washi tape.   Once I set the tape on the card front I stamped the words.  Then I stamped the hexagons and punched them out.  They are set in place using Dimensionals.  Rhinestones were added to each hexagon.  And finally the butterfly was made using the Washi tape and the small butterfly punch.  When I was looking at Margaret's card I was trying to figure out what stamp she used to do the butterfly and then it dawned on me it was not a stamp, it was the Washi tape.  I glued the butterfly in place and then added the rhinestones.

This is such a simple card to make and it's SO colorful and cheery!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
