Six-Sided Sampler Card

I'm still trying to find a way to play with this Six-Sided Sampler set.  I found a card made by Kim at Joyful Creations.  As I was stamping along, trying to reproduce Kim's card and it wasn't working, I decided to read.  Apparently it turns out that the stamp are Happy Hexagons by Paper Ink.  Their hexagons are much smaller, so I turned the paper sideways and worked with it.

I am ok with this card but overly thrilled with it.  It needs a lot of finesse!  The layout of the hexagons is growing on me but I think it could use some more festive colors.  And had I known I was going to be turning the card the orientation of the hexagons would have been such that the alphabet one would be straight instead of crooked.

The colors I used here are Strawberry Slush and Baked Brown Sugar.  The words are from the "Express Yourself" hostess set and stamped in Baked Brown Sugar.

It's an easy enough and quick enough card to make.  I just think it needs more color!

Thank you ever so much for stopping by today,
Wanda
