Lovely as a Tree Masking Technique Masculine Card

Masking has never really been one of my favorite techniques but it is a very effective one!

To make this card I took a 1/4 piece of scrap copier paper and I punched a circle in it.  I then used removable tape and taped the piece to my Very Vanilla cardstock and began sponging Daffodil Delight.  I kept adding more ink until I was satisfied with the color.  Remember, when you are doing this, the ink will be darker than it looks with the mask on.

Next I tore the bottom part of the mask and  I covered the ground area and I also put the circle I had punched out on top of my sponged mood.  I then sponged in the sky using Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and a little bit of Cajun Craze.

For the ground I used Garden Green and then some Soft Suede on top of that to tone down the green. I thought it was a bit too green in contrast.

I used black StazOn for the trees and the words.

I do like how it turned out.  It's a nice masculine card but it's just too much sponging for me!!  I'd rather make the clean and simple cards!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
