Five-Way Flower Birthday Card

This flower has some familiarity to it.  I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what set this flower reminds me of.  I remember cutting out each layer from the one image and setting each layer up on Dimensionals as I did here.  And I finally figured out which set it reminds me of, it's the retired "Flower Fest" set.  I remember stamping the image using VersaMark and white embossing powder and then cutting out layers from the rings of flowers.  And I remember stamping the image several times to get all the layers I've wanted.  This set is much like that except you don't have to emboss and you don't have to cut.  You just stamp the image several times and punch out each layer with all of the scalloped punches Stampin' Up! sells.  I did have to make sure I had all the punches before I decided to order this one.

Each layer was set in place using Dimensionals.  And the very center of the flower I added one of those new "Candy Dots", and on the decorative paper too.  The decorative paper is from the new in colors pack.  I LOVE buying those packs. You get a lot of paper for your money.  They have some fun designs but not like the retired packs had.

I used the leaf Sizzlet and Garden Green card stock.

The words are from the "Simply Sketched" set.  I want a set of words just like that with no images.  I LOVE the font and the size of these words in that set.

I think that covers everything.  Oh, except the colors.  I used one of the new in colors, Strawberry Slush.

This was a fun card to make and I love NOT having to cut out flowers anymore!!!  Imagine how many cards you can make now???

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
