The Open Sea Masculine Card

I am still seeing that masculine cards are hard to find.  I made this one at Terri's Stamp-a-Stack last month.  It was a fun time and a whole lot of fun cards to make.  She is SO talented and always has great cards to do.  When I do I don't venture very far from the original cards she has on display.  It's just nice to make cards when all the pieces are cut for you!  Who doesn't love that??  LOL

The image here is from the "Open Sea" set.  It's one of the few masculine sets that Stampin' Up! has in their catalog.  I wish they could make more.  I do like flowers and birds but there are SO many in the catalog and so few masculine sets.

Anyway, back to my card.  The color card stock used here is Island Indigo.  A color I don't use much at all and that's sad because I really do like it.  I'm not sure where the matching decorative came from.  I do know that I don't own the pack of paper!  It is pretty and matches the card so well.

I don't know why I used the "hello, dear friend" from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set.  It's not something I would send out to a guy!  So when I'm done with this post I'm removing that bottom layer and added the "happy birthday" words from that set to it.  Problem solved!

This was a very fun card to make and if I had to make it myself from scratch I think it would be a very quick card to do.  It's not only quick but easy and very nice looking.

Now I need to get back to my clay.  I'm a little behind on my stuff here.  Earlier I was working in a beading pattern, then some clay, I stopped to post to my blog and now it's back to clay. And of course, tomorrow I will show you what I was working on!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

  2. Really like your card. I agree Stampin Up needs to make more masculine stamps.
